HSMSPE Individual Fitness

The main objective of Individualized Fitness is to encourage students to improve their fitness level; an opportunity to excel at becoming physically fit. This class will give students the tools to maintain a healthily, active lifestyle outside of class. Students will be tested using the Fitness Gram Test, at the beginning and the end of the class to show progress. They will be required to use Heart Rate Monitors to assess their participation and work. Students in this class will need to understand how to find target heart rates, and be able to put their bodies into those zones for different types of workouts. They will be given exams on various fitness terms, fitness principles, and correct practices in fitness. Class subjects would include but not limited to, Yoga, Pilates, Cardio Kickboxing, various types of Weight Training, and various types of running/walking.
