We didn't let rain nor COVID-19 stop our 1st Grade tradition of celebrating Syttende Mai. This year we just did it virtually!
In addition to a week dedicated to learning about Norway (counting in Norwegian/virtual lefse-making demo by Mrs. Wemette/building Viking ships/creating their own troll hunt/and research), students were able to create a float entry as we have done in the past.
Parents and children had a great time using all types of materials and transport methods! Way to get creative! These were combined into a video so students could see their work, stay connected, and still enjoy a parade.
