Hi,
I am Ann McDowell and I am beyond thrilled to share that I’ll be joining the Westby Elementary team as a First Grade Teacher this upcoming school year!
While many of you know me as a fellow district parent, Viroqua native, and 14-year community member, stepping into my own classroom here feels like coming home in the best way possible. Starting my teaching career in the community I love so much is a dream come true.
When I’m not at school, you’ll usually find me outside enjoying the outdoors, spending time with my family, or curled up with a great book. Books have always held a special place in my heart, and my biggest goal this year is to foster that same deep love of reading in my new first graders!
I can’t wait to welcome my students and meet all of the wonderful families. Here’s to an incredible school year ahead!
