Hi everyone! My name is Kennedy Strangstalien and I am so excited to be the new 6th grade English teacher at Westby Middle School!
I grew up in Holmen, Wisconsin. After high school, I attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where, in May, I received a bachelor's degree in Elementary-Middle Education.
Outside of school, you can find me spending time with family, creating art, watching movies, or spending time with my cats.
This will be my first year at Westby and my first year of teaching! While my dad moved to Holmen to raise my sister and me, he grew up here and is a Westby alum. When I started looking for a place to begin my teaching career, coming back to the area where much of my family still lives felt like the perfect fit. The close-knit community of the school district made my choice that much clearer.
I am so excited to be part of the Westby area community and can't wait to meet my students and families. I'm looking forward to a wonderful first year!
