Dear WASD community stakeholders...in 2020, voters approved an operational referendum to maintain programs and services for students. These additional funds were for the 21-22, 22-23, and 23-24 school years. Those funds will not be available at the end of the next school year. Therefore, we are exploring a replacement referendum and we need your input. To ensure your feedback is confidential, all data is returned to School Perceptions, an independent survey firm. Please take a moment to complete the survey that was mailed out recently. If you do not get a survey via US mail, please contact the district office 608.634.0101 and we will get one to you right away. Thank you!

A "shelter in place" order came this morning from local authorities.  In a "shelter in place" we continue teaching and learning, but movement between classes is restricted and students are not allowed to go outside.   This is what we know from law enforcement...There was a citizen who was legally carrying a firearm near Chaseburg with no known threat to anyone.  Someone saw them and reported it.  The individual was located by authorities and the schools were released from our "shelter in place" status.   Again, many thanks to our law enforcement partners.

The "shelter in place" is now over. Our schools have resumed all regular activities. Once we get more information from law enforcement we will share it.

Dear Families,  In partnership with Law Enforcement, our schools are in a "shelter in place."  We do not know the details of the situation in our county, but our students will remain in their classrooms and inside school until the situation is resolved. We practice for situations like this and are grateful for the connections we have with our local law enforcement and emergency personnel.
