Based on the excessive heat warning all outdoor activities (practices, games, etc) after 2pm will need to be cancelled or moved inside today, 8/26. Please make sure all are aware of the following the heat guidance as it relates to our outdoor sports and make sure that coaches running or supervising these activities are cognizant and aware. For indoor activities in air conditioned spaces please make sure to provide ample breaks for water and please monitor temperatures as well but may go on following the heat guidance. Also, I would suggest preparing a similar contingency plan for tomorrow. Please also recognize that families always have the right to make the best decision for their own child and keep their child home if they choose due to temperatures and do not pressure otherwise. Always err on the side of caution. *Cross Country will need to do team pictures indoors*

Coon Valley Families, this morning the district received a call from our Sheriff Department informing us of a domestic situation on the 100 block of Lien Street. As I type this the Sheriff department confirmed that there was no danger to the community and that school should proceed as normal. Steve Michaels, District Superintendent
